Hey friends! Just wanted to hop on and share a revelation that I had this week. Something a church kid is taught at a very young age. Something that can be overused, said because it’s routine, or simply because you should. Something so big, so deep, so real.
I just wanted to tell you that Jesus loves you…seriously. JESUS LOVES YOU A WHOLE WHOLE BUNCH! Underneath the human heart; a heart full of filth, brokenness, pride, self-glory, selfishness, and brokenness, is a heart that God chooses. A heart that God chooses to love. A heart that God chooses to pursue. A heart that God chooses to restore.
Before we were even old enough to recognize that God existed, He loved us with His entire being. That’s WILD and that completely BLOWS my mind! Nothing you can ever do (or not do) can change the amount of love He has for you. No sin, no whoopsie, no mess-ups, will ever make Him love you less. No pursuit, no Bible study, not how much you serve at church, or even how many people you bring to Christ will ever make Him love you more. HE LOVES YOU SO BIG ALREADY AND HE ALWAYS WILL!!! How beautiful. How radical. How perfect. UGH!! I get butterflies just thinking about the way that He loves us!!!! We are SO unworthy of it, but you’ll never hear Him saying that. HE SAYS WE’RE SO WORTHY OF HIS LOVE!
‘For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
Romans 8:38-39
I’m praying you get this. I’m praying you know how loved you are by our good good Father!
Okay, that’s all! I’ll have actual updates coming soon! 🙂
At my job back at home one of my first graders ended her daily prayer with this and I’m going to end my blog with it…
“Thank you for everything because you’re the best God ever, Amen!”
crazy how we can overlook the meaning of words that get used all the time, but it’s pretty rad that He brings fresh revelation and meaning to them once again! good stuff!!
Love you. This simple truth is something we will be learning and accepting for our entire lives. May it never cease to amaze us 🙂
During this time of being alone so much, I had forgotten just how much God loves me. Thank you for the reminder. I love you, but God loves you more than I ever could.
How radical. I love it!!!
such a basic, simple statement, yet so powerful!
